To secure a smooth transition to the EN 15804+A2 published in 2019, EPD® System decided to extend the validity period for PCR 2012:01 based on EN 15804+A1 until the end of 2021.

Extend validity period for PCR 2012:01 based on EN 15804+A1

On September 21, 2020, EPD International AB decided to extend the validity period for the PCR 2012:01 until 2021-12-31. This PCR is for Construction products and construction services. The validity period of all associated sub-PCRs that follow the old version of EN 15804 (EN 15804:2012+A1:2013) is also extended. This to secure the smooth transition to the new version of EN 15804 (EN 15804:2012+A2:2019).

The validity period of EPD® System based on PCRs that follow the old EN 15804 (A1) remains five years.

New PCR 2019:14 based on EN 15804+A2

However, EPD International AB strongly recommend organisations registering new EPDs to follow the new construction product PCR (PCR 2019:14) and associated complementary PCRs (c-PCRs) that follow the updated EN 15804 standard.
