EIME: New CODDE® sectorial databases

LCIE Bureau Veritas is proud to announce the release of 2 new sector-specific databases to enhance the CODDE® database and continue the database's specialization in the electrotechnical fields.

The CODDE® 🏷️MicroElectronics sector database

Microchips are invisible to most of us. Yet their impacts are far from trivial. The semiconductors in a smartphone (microprocessors, memory) represent up to 80% of the product's carbon footprint, while accounting for less than 1.0% of the device's weight.

The MicroElectronics database aims to go further than the CODDE® Electrical and Electronics database by offering a level of detail and parameterization adapted to the challenges of microchip manufacturing.

The advantages of the CODDE® MicroElectronics database:

  • More than 150 datasets, including 24 configurable datasets, offering a level of customization of up to 1,100 configurations per data set.
  • Engraving depth up to 7 nanometers
  • 9 countries and 11 geographical areas
The CODDE® 🏷️Digital sector database

Each user perceives their digital consumption as marginal. Yet, the cumulative effect is staggering. In 2024, we collectively exchanged more than 149 zettabytes (149 trillion gigabytes) of data. And this figure could reach 394 zettabytes by 2028, particularly due to the rise of AI. By 2026, 75% of companies will use generative AI to create synthetic customer data, compared to less than 5% in 2023.

Faced with a constantly expanding digital appetite, LCIE Bureau Veritas is positioning itself as a key player in the environmental assessment of these critical infrastructures (terminals, connected objects, data centers, and telecom networks).

The advantages of the CODDE® Digital database:

  • More than 100 datasets, including 9 configurable datasets, offering a very wide level of parameterization
  • Calculation precision powered by the MicroElectronics database
