Digital in Europe: an approach to environmental impacts through life cycle analysis

Digital represents 40% of our sustainable budget to stay below 1.5°C of global warming. It would therefore remain 60% for accommodation, food, travel, treatment, etc.

Today a study led by GreenIT.fr and carried out by NegaOctet has been published: DIGITAL IN EUROPE: an approach to environmental impacts through life cycle analysis.

This study aims to measure the environmental impacts of digital technologies and infrastructures in Europe in order to:

  • Inform decision-makers about the environmental impacts of digital technology ;
  • Bringing together decision-makers and the scientific community to address environmental and digital transitions
  • Generalize collective awareness of European citizens and European strategic actors.
