MICHELIN published its 1st EPD® System declaration verified by LCIE Bureau Veritas

MICHELIN, one of the world leaders in tire design and manufacture, has made respect for the environment one of these commitments. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew: with its 4R strategy, Michelin is committed to developing the circular economy in all phases of the life cycle of its tires.

In order to promote the environmental impact of its products, MICHELIN becomes the 1st tire manufacturer* in the world to publish an environmental product declaration: the new e-primacy range, developed for the passenger car sector, have been assessed with an EPD® Sytem declaration.

The EPD is based on verified life-cycle analysis (LCA) data. It summarizes and communicates transparent and comparable information about the environmental impact of the product at each phase of its life cycle, to the benefit of customers and other stakeholders. This document demonstrates the strong Group’s commitment to put the reduction of environmental impacts at the heart of its sustainable growth strategy.

For this 1st EPD® System declaration, MICHELIN called on Damien PRUNEL, authorized individual verifier of The International EPD® System program.
