The transition period between the PCR ed3 and the PRC ed4 is over. Since January 1, 2023, manufacturers wishing to publish PEP ecopassport® declarations must use the PCR ed4. Validity period of PCR ed3 PEP declarations

The validity of PEP declarations, produced in accordance with the PCR ed3, depends on the registration database:
- PEP ecopassport® database: PCR ed3 PEP declarations recorded on the PEP database have a validity period of 5 years. This means that on January 1, 2028, the PEP ecopassport® database will no longer contain a PCR ed3 PEP declaration.
- INIES database : PCR ed3 PEP declarations registered on the INIES database are valid until December 31, 2024, regardless of the registration date. This is a decision by the French public authorities.
