BASE EMPREINTE®
DATABASE CONTENT
Base Empreinte® is the official public database of emission factors and inventory datasets required to carry out carbon accounting exercises for organizations and environmental labelling of consumer products and services in France.
The current version integrated in EIME is Base IMPACTS® 2.01 containing 1,620 LCIA data sets.

ADEME EXPERTISE
Base Empreinte® s administered by ADEME and contributions are multi-actor. The governance of the Base Empreinte®, chaired by ADEME, is composed of the following committees:
- Governance committee whose role is to define and validate strategic orientations
- Sectoral technical committees whose role is to determine the granulometry of the data and the sectoral modeling rules
- Contributors and users committee whose role is to identify needs in structure, format, data and transparency, access to datasets and import
INDICATOR SET
In EIME, Base IMPACTS® 2.01 is used with the following indicator set:
- "EN 15804+A2 - PEF 3.0 indicators" indicator set: set based on the characterization factors established by the European Commission (method according to EF 3.0 EN 15804)

COMPLIANCE & APPLICATIONS
Base Empreinte® allows to comply with French regulations L229-25 and L1431-3.
Base IMPACTS® 2.01 complies with Reference package EF 3.0. The intended application is the production of environmental display of consumer products and services according to the BPX-30-323 referential and associated sctor referentials (Food; Furniture; Publishing and stationery; Maintenance, hygiene and beauty; Electrical and electronic equipment; Digital; Sports, leisure and tourism; Textiles, household linen, footwear and leather goods).
